I love the colours very much. The kind of translucent illumination of the bird makes the whole thing look unreal, which creates a fantastic effect with your realistic style. :)

I'm not sure about the birds. The bird in the other one looks brighter and more detailed than the child, in this one the child looks brighter than the bird. I think if you want to make them look more like a series, maybe you should lose the birds and even out the background of this one a bit.

I think they look great as they are....but you dont sound happy, so that's my idea of how to make them more unified.

They are lovely.

I think Robbie has some good insight on the winged whistlers...they may detract more than they add to an otherwise dynamic painting.

I think the ones you've done of Sammi make a good series. All of your paintings of children may not fit together because you've done so many of her...I don't know.
